Context

What it does
A bookkeeper uploads deposit and payout files from Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Amazon, Etsy and any bank, and connects QuickBooks Online or Xero over OAuth when entries need pushing through. ReconMatch matches each line to the ledger, explains what did not match in plain English with a confidence score, and exports a month-end close pack.

Who it is for
Owners of small bookkeeping and accounting practices — two to four people, a few dozen e-commerce and small-service clients — on QuickBooks Online in the US, and practitioners managing many one-person Ltd companies on Xero in the UK.
Where a product uses AI, it runs on the customer’s own API key — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter — and the model is theirs to pick. My key never touches customer data.
Pricing
$19 / $39 / $79 per month, billed through Paddle.
One of ten
ReconMatch is one of ten small products I am building in public. Eight of them share a common core and one visual language, so an improvement made for one reaches the others.
Every number follows the same rules across the money products: an unknown value shows as —, never 0, and dates spell out the month, because 01/02/2026 is two different days to a US merchant and a UK one.
Where it stands
As of 11 October 2026: In development and not launched. 44 of 55 build tasks done.
