The first scanned 30 live WooCommerce homepages with axe-core on 3 September 2026, to validate A11yLog, a WordPress accessibility plugin in progress. 27 of the 30 had a serious issue. Missing alt text, the problem most people think of first, showed up on only 7 of the 30 sites; broken link names were more common. The numbers cover homepages only, and only what axe-core can check automatically, which Deque puts at 57% of WCAG issues on average. The post states those limits before it gives the results. The scan checks whether the problem is common across real stores; it is not a test of the plugin itself.
